Vernal Group and Prego Århus ApS form strategic partnership Vernal Group, the organisation behind Tytex A/S of Ikast, Denmark, and the Danish entrepreneurial company Prego Århus ApS have recently entered into a strategic partnership Vernal Group, the organisation behind Tytex A/S of Ikast, Denmark, and the Danish entrepreneurial company Prego Århus ApS have recently entered into a strategic partnership with the aim of developing common synergies in textile niche products for the global healthcare market. Prego develops and markets designer headscarves and other headwear for people who have lost their hair permanently or temporarily, often as a result of illness. The products are marketed under the two brands “Christine” and “Care to wear”. ”I greatly look forward to cooperating with a professional, experienced and globally anchored player on the market,” says Creative Director Tine Fuglsang, founder of Prego Århus ApS. At Vernal Group it is mainly the subsidiary Tytex Group, a leading company in a range of medical textiles, which will benefit from the close cooperation with Prego. ”For us, the aim the of the partnership is the development of growth synergies, as we see that Prego's profile and products mesh well with the Tytex product range and sales structure," says Thomas Klausen, President of Tytex Group. The cooperation with Prego is Vernal Group’s first step towards developing an incubator model, under which Vernal will work together with entrepreneurs with innovative products or a unique distribution form and preferably with an already tested business model, for purposes such as boosting their introduction on the global market. The aim is that such relationships will create growth and new opportunities for both parties. “We are impressed at Prego’s approach to the market, its innovative products and entrepreneurial spirit. We are convinced that partnership will increase the innovation level at both Vernal and Tytex. At the same time we judge that Prego will be able to benefit from our global model and structured approach to business development,” says Peter Aggersbjerg of Vernal Group. Prego and Vernal are currently clarifying the areas where cooperation could lead to competitive advantages and commercial opportunities and are taking a look at the potential in sales and marketing, logistics (buying, stores and distribution), product development and use of tools in the areas of personnel development, quality and environmental management and IT.
