Press Release (Apr. 2006)
NEW PRESIDENT & CEO OF TYTEX GROUP
Peter Aggersbjerg will leave his position as President & CEO of Tytex Group. The position will be taken over by Per Gernow who has international experience from the pharmaceutical industry.
After five years as the President & CEO of Tytex Group, Peter Aggersbjerg has decided to make a change in his professional life, driven by an ambition to start up his own business. Per Gernow has been appointed new CEO of Tytex, a company specialized in the development, manufacturing and sale of medical textiles.
The Board of Directors of Tytex, headed by Chairman Stig Løkke Pedersen, Executive Vice President of H. Lundbeck A/S, expresses great recognition for the achievements of Peter Aggersbjerg:
"Peter Aggersbjerg has very much contributed to the positive development of Tytex. First as President of the US subsidiary from 1994 to 2001 and after that as President & CEO of the entire Tytex Group. As President/CEO of the Tytex Group he has for the past five years, together with the global leadership team, worked towards the goal of transitioning Tytex from being a manufacturing company into being a market-driven, innovative healthcare company. I received Peter's information that he wished to resign already in the Fall of 2005, and we appreciate very much that Peter has continued his leadership of Tytex unchanged and has in this way given us the necessary time to find the right successor. We wish Peter all the best of luck in his future professional as well as private life."
The new CEO of Tytex, Per Gernow, has many years of experience from the pharmeceutical industry. Among others in Novo Nordisk A/S and also in his latest position as CEO of Neurodan A/S, a company specialized in implants and aids in relation to continence problems.
Continence is one of the core business areas of Tytex, and the international Danish company which employs well over 500 individuals at facilities in Denmark, Ireland, Slovakia, the USA, and Germany will, with the employment of Per Gernow, 50, get an experienced international CEO. Per Gernow grew up in South America, and with a M.Sc. in chemical engineering from the Technical University of Denmark he has been employed with a number of international companies before coming to Novo Nordisk and Neurodan. At Novo Nordisk Per Gernow has a.o. been the General Manager for Latin America for 10 years and has thus been responsible for building up the Latin American business.
"Having management experience and being familiar with large parts of the pharmaceutical industry, Per Gernow will be an important part of the further positive development of the Tytex Group" says Stig Løkke Pedersen, Chairman of the Board.
The change of CEO will take place as per 31 May 2006.
